David Wojnarowicz’s work has been exhibited in hundreds of solo and group exhibitions around the globe since 1982.
This includes three major retrospectives: David Wojnarowicz: Tongues of Flame, curated by Barry Blinderman for University Galleries of Illinois State University in 1990; Fever: The Art of David Wojnarowicz, curated by Dan Cameron for the New Museum in 1999; and David Wojnarowicz: History Keeps Me Awake at Night, co-curated by David Kiehl and David Breslin for the Whitney Museum of American Art in 2018.
