November 12, 1977: David is cast in a silent part in Jim McLauchlin’s multi-media poetry performance “Don’t” at The Glines (a historic, short lived Gay theater in TriBeCa). McLauchlin instructs him to “sit on a couch and look bored”. In the planning of this piece, David meets his life-long friend Dirk Rowntree.
