October 26, 1991: David gives his last reading at the Drawing Center in a benefit for ACT UP’s needle exchange program, a street-based, volunteer outreach program. Hosted by Philip Yenawine and curated by Patrick Moore, it also featured Kathy Acker, Karen Finely, Happi Phace, and Bill Rice who all read from David’s recently published book, Close to the Knives.
