Tate Britain holds nearly 40 pieces of David Wojnarowicz’s work in its collection: dozens of black and white photographs shot from 1988 to 1989.
This includes David’s 1988 “Ant Series” and several Untitled images from 1988 that he used as collage elements in larger works, such as Spirituality (For Paul Thek),1988–89. The Tate Britain collection also includes Peter Hujar’s photograph David Wojnarowicz Reclining (II), 1981.
Tate Britain welcomes viewing of David’s work by appointment when not on display.
