June 4, 1983: Creates Solo Show Civilian Warfare

June 4, 1983: David creates his first solo exhibition at Civilian Warfare, “Fit to be Tied,” featuring his signature images on found materials—garbage can lids, supermarket posters and driftwood totems—as well as his Kiki Smith collaborations of found Rorschach tests.
