September 6, 1978: David travels to Europe with the intent of living there for the rest of his life. He lands in Paris on September 14, 1978, his 24th birthday. He moves in with his sister Pat (a model with the Stewart Modeling Agency) and explores the city in the footsteps of Arthur Rimbaud and Jean Genet.
