Oral History

The Foundation aspires to expand scholarship around David Wojnarowicz’s work by creating an archive of oral history.

This will include not just interviews with David and people he valued in his lifetime but interviews with artists, writers, and activists inspired by his work today.

Below, explore excerpts of David’s interview with NPR’s Terry Gross —“Art, ‘Obscenity,’ and Federal Funds,” from June 26, 1990.
